@Neuro_Matt The post night shift insomnia… force yourself out of bed every morning. Sleep deprived and still can’t sleep at nights - takes me about 5-7 days to learn to sleep at night again and before you know it your next night shifts are here 🫠

The thing I’m most looking forward to CCT for: no more resident nights. How do people do specialities where they continue to have to be physically in the hospital at night? Too old for this 😂

New electric car arrived today! No home charger yet so decided to try it out at a local high speed charger whilst I work out what I’m doing. Charger only French. In Liverpool. My GCSE French did not prepare me for this.

Reflecting on the year. I’m very different to the man I was 12 months ago, and 6 months ago when I left. Happier, more me, and less afraid. This popped up on Spotify and made me think of the good times with friends that have got me through the year - thanks @jpobjoy91 @ben_hock

A&E allowed us to do CPD instead of going to sessions we have already sat through and I thought revising the brachial plexus with 4 hours of shift still to complete was a GREAT idea #canihaveanap

@AbbieTBee @jpobjoy91 Honestly don't need to know the medschool detail to do those blocks. Medschool anatomy wont tell you how to identify the ultrasound anatomy and no one needs to know where the nerve to subscapularis comes from in a pinch.

@TimDHWoo @AbbieTBee They need to understand the anatomy in significant detail and how to identify on US… otherwise how do you know when and how to do an interscalene block, superior trunk, supraclavicular, infraclavicular or axillary block

@AbbieTBee No one needs to know the brachial plexus apart from peripheral nerve MSK radiologists, peripheral nerve surgeons and anyone operating in the vicinity of the supraclavicular fossae without a neck surgeon in attendance

@drchriscarson We can have a whole month of it … next month I’m up for it. I just don’t want to be sick of Christmas before we get there
