@Stretchedwiener I’ve also thought about what happened to the people who were blipped while on a plane, boat, etc. & suddenly they come back to the same place but now there is no plane, boat, etc. How many of them would have ended up just falling from 30,000 feet? Just horrifying to think about.

They had to gloss over it because the honest repercussions are too horrible. A fifty percent chance of being blipped means half the cars on the highway crashing, killing passengers. A four person crewed plane? 1 out of 16 planes crash, killing all passengers. Those people don't come back. Twitchy governments thinking they are under attack by other countries and launching nukes? Power plants losing half their staff? Everyone in a panic? No replacements? The problem is that blipping half the population would result in 2nd order tragedies leading to infrastructure collapse and approx 80 percent population loss. Waves of xxxxicides. Jonestown level reactions. Those people aren't coming back. There's no recovering. A show or movie about that? Not possible. It has to be treated lightly and we can't be allowed to think about it.
