3 1/2 years, lots of tears and a pandemic later I have finally finished my physio degree. I can’t quite believe I’m at this point, it’s been a rough ride, but I’ve learnt so much and I can’t wait to be a proper physio (after a bit of a break!)… (1/2)

Great day at @uniofbrighton Virtual IPE conference. Some brilliant talks & real life service users’ experiences of their conditions. Learnt some really interesting facts around HIV, facial paralysis & Car T cell therapy, thanks to the organisers & those who shared their stories!!

Just spent the day watching surgery! Observed a toe fusion, tibial plate removal, hip revision, THR & TKR. Absolutely amazing experience & so interesting! I can definitely empathise with my patients now😂😬

@jraicevicphysio Learn the subjective like your learning lines from a play. Be brave and ask open chain questions where possible. Give the pt time to respond. I often say ‘ Tell me a bit more about that...’ this encourages the person to expand and signals that what they are saying is meaningful.

Starting my 5th and final placement on Monday in MSK outpatients! If I’m honest, this is the area I’m least confident in. Any tips/advice would be hugely appreciated!☺️
