@BLouu You guys don’t understand, the uk isn’t built for this heat, new home builds or pre 80s. Most houses are concrete and brick with insulation pretty much behind every wall 😭 And not too mention air conditioning isn’t a thing here, we only have fans and water lmao.

It's funny how Casino Royale was also a Bond origin story. Earning the number. Quantum of Solace takes place just hours after the first movie. And then comes Skyfall and they immediately tell Bond he is too old for this shit and needs to retire. Like what happened?

@CkingsonK @Merrill_1984 Poor choice of words on my part because I think movies like Return of The King, Gladiator, Titanic, Braveheart, Forrest Gump are all crowd pleasers but more deserving because they're epic in scale & story. I would not class fluff like F1, Top Gun or Black Panther the same way.

@jramjee @Merrill_1984 Do you know what best picture is? Why wouldn’t a crowd pleaser be in a strong position for a nomination? Not all best picture noms have to be biopics, historical films, or slow burn dramatic films and musicals. The Oscars isn’t Cannes and I don’t think it ever tried to be.

Is Project Hail Mary the only film released so far this year that you feel is absolutely locked for a Best Picture nomination next year?

@CkingsonK @Merrill_1984 I should stress that I liked Project Hail Mary but it's just an obligatory crowd pleaser that has no right to be anywhere near that category (F1 very much included).
