By request, a set from the lovely Elie Golf Club on the northern coast of the Firth of Forth where it meets the North Sea. One of the world’s great charmers, alongside places like Maidstone, Rye, Swinley Forest, Kingston Heath, Morfontaine, de Pan and Myopia Hunt, Elie tips out at just 6,300yds playing to a par of 70, but it provides all the golf you could ever want. Add in touches like the periscope atop the starter’s hut, the 19th hole bar (which is actually the 17-and-a-half hole bar, and the beautiful seaside towns of Elie and Earlsferry, and this is a place I could happily spend the rest of my years, walking these ancient links with my dog. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
