@Brittany_HTX @emilytakesnotes It's the county that wants to take city parkland through eminent domain condemnation. The City has honored the donor's wishes. Harris County Commissioners Court will vote in March whether to move forward. If they do a court will decide the issue.

If the land isn’t used as a park, then it should go back to the family who donated it. Per the ORIGINAL agreement. That’s the RIGHT THING TO DO! It’s a shame our city cannot even honor a donors wishes, aka a contractual agreement! Makes me wonder what else will be taken… Our property taxes are already extremely high, just wait till they start building this expansion…. 😏

I went to the Hermann Park Conservancy meeting tonight about the Ben Taub expansion and I am now Team Ben Taub.

Seeing the face of pure loss in the face of a mother will change you. Watching a son search the river day after day after day looking for his father. These heroes will need help to after this is over.

@KPRC2 The offender was out on bond for Aggravated Robbery and repeatedly violated his conditions. His bond was revoked yet inexplicably reinstated. If his bond had remained revoked for violating his ankle monitor and curfew violations an 11 year boy would be alive
