Crystal Palace is facing a bizarre, high-stakes Premier League scenario in a deeply intertwined title race.
The Eagles could hand the trophy to Arsenal tonight by taking points off Manchester City, thereby triggering a £10 million payment from Eberechi Eze’s transfer deal.
If Crystal Palace doesn't beat Manchester City, the Gunners could still mathematically win the league on the final day by beating the Eagles directly—which would simultaneously trigger that £10 million transfer payout.
Football really does write its own scripts sometimes. 👀

Shoe on the left got me a lot of medals 2001-2005. Best of them was Dec 2004 at KU, as @DiscoverJKUAT Wildcats Captain. We won gold at the East African Varsity Games.
The one on the right has a silver medal so far. This year, Gold lazima. We start with Msa on 17th May. #hockey.

For context.
Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Ben White, William Saliba, David Raya, Leandro Trossard, and Gabriel Martinelli made their UCL debuts in 2023/24.
Eberechi Eze, Cristhian Mosquera and Christian Norgaard made theirs this season.
Lewis-Skelly made his last season.
Stretch it further to that bench against Sporting Lisbon and you have Max Dowman and Marli Salmon, both 16 and have played in the UCL for the first time this season.
In those three seasons of debuting for the ones initially mentioned, they've made the quarterfinals once and the semifinals twice.
For the debutants, it's a semifinal appearance at their first time of asking.
Zubimendi didn't make his UCL debut until 2023. Gyokeres only made his debut in 2024. It's their first UCL semifinal.
That's a team that has done what most of them have never experienced. I don't care how they got there. It's big deal to them. It has to be.
I'm looking at it purely from a player lens now because what it is to Arsenal is established. It's new waters. Arsenal were never in this position in that competition.
To do what they've done in the last three seasons is not a mean feat and that group has to know they've come way. As always, titles crown glories in football, but context mustn't be die on the altar of criticism.

What is it with Kenyans? 🇰🇪
This question came up during a deep conversation recently about who we are as a people and how we show up in the world.
A fellow guest noticed my Kenya-themed wristband and remarked on something many have observed: how Kenyans can be deeply patriotic, yet also fiercely critical of one another, our leaders, and our institutions.
As we reflected, one truth became clear: beneath that criticism often lies something deeper- a conviction that Kenya can be better, because Kenyans know we have what it takes.
That, perhaps, is “what it is with Kenyans”: a relentless desire for more. For better. For excellence.
I was reminded of this again through inspiring conversations with @KenyaAirways crew on recent flights between London and Nairobi- from Capt. Ruth Karauri and First Officer Guzo, to Capt. Bhavesh, First Officer Malik, Senior Flight Purser Khan, and many others. What stood out was not only their long years of dedicated service at KQ, but their passion, pride, and thoughtful ideas on how we can continue to “sell Kenya as one product- seamlessly and consistently.” Thank you KQ ground and onboard staff for being strong contributors to our Kenyan story.
Moments like these reaffirm a simple truth: as leaders, our people are our greatest asset. Kenya’s greatest strength is its human capital.
Our responsibility as leaders is to harness that asset in service of national progress.
As our National Anthem reminds us:
“Build this our nation together.”

When building systems, we assume we are dealing with the worst form of human beings, so the system should at most prevent, and if collusion happens, it should tell us who were involved. With regular audits, its easy to trap it before it becomes a catastrophic problem that brings the organization down

The meeting is not where the decision gets made. You lost before you entered.
You walk in prepared. Data organised. Arguments tight. You present with clarity and confidence. Then watch the room defer to someone who said almost nothing.
Decisions are made in hallways, side conversations, and one-on-ones that happen days before the calendar invite.
The meeting is ceremony. Ratification. Theatre for documentation purposes.
The leaders who shape outcomes architect consensus before the meeting exists.
They identify the three people whose opinions will sway the room.
They have private conversations that surface objections early.
They let decision-makers feel ownership of conclusions that were carefully planted.
You are preparing slides while they are engineering alignment.
This is how organisations actually function.
By the time everyone sits down, the outcome is already known to everyone except the person who thought preparation meant rehearsing their points.
Influence happens in the gaps between conference rooms. In the five-minute check-ins. In the "quick question" that is actually a framing exercise. In the lunch where nothing appears on the agenda because the agenda is being written.
Stop preparing for meetings.
Start architecting decisions before meetings get scheduled.
