So yesterday we get served @javahouseafrica coffee at their Gertrude's hospital branch in leaky take away cups and by the time we realised they were leaking we could not turn back. Today I order my coffee at the same branch and get a leaky cup again!#notfortakeaway

‘My 30s are littered with the gravestones of former friendships. That sounds dramatic. But in many senses it is sadly true, and it is a reality I have been doing my best to grapple with over the past few years.’ My latest for @onlinehyphen: hyphenonline.com/2024/08/19/som…

A note of gratitude to Dr.Njeri,Dr.Ed and the elegant #EKAHotel at Rupa’s Mall Eldoret,Kenya .We had had a wonderful Adolescent Summit and I was thrilled to return home after a busy 3 days of meetings.Unfortunately my online check-in failed repeatedly and this made me rather uncomfortable. After a nice breakfast, debriefing with our hosts and last minute shopping we rushed to pick up our bags and head to the airport. In the process, I did not remember to check my hotel safe. The drive to Eldoret AirPort was easy and fast.At the airport, things seemed slow, the flight was delayed by 5 hours to Nairobi and that meant that I was going to miss my connecting flight home out of Nairobi.Dr.Njeri bumped into her undergrad classmate Dr.Ed and we all settled down to spending the time gainfully while discussing current events and medical challenges.I even did my weekly meeting online. In the middle of the chit chat I received a strange call and it was from Eka Hotel. They informed me that I had left my wallet in the hotel room safe.My face was visibly tingling but my friends calmed me down.In Uganda you must have a Gamba NOGU and Dr.Ed turned out to be The Gamba NOGU.In less than 40 minutes the Hotel Security Chief,Mr.Opio and Dr.Ed”s trusted taxi guy Wesley were at the airport with my wallet. With every single coin intact.I thanked God and karma .Honesty implies being truthful. Honesty means to develop a practice of speaking truth throughout life. A person who practices Honesty in his/her life, possess strong moral character. An Honest person shows good behavior, always follows rules and regulations, maintain discipline, speak the truth, and is punctual. An honest person is trustworthy as she or he always tends to speak the truth.Truly grateful and can’t wait to get back home.
