The Wolverines, one of the most successful programs in the sport and one that has reached the Frozen Four on 10 occasions since its last national title, saw their championship drought extended. This time, as in 2022, the decision came in overtime at the hands of Denver, which tied the game with less than three minutes left in regulation and then won it with 7:25 left in the second extra period.
