The CIF Central Section released its playoff brackets for high school baseball. Because of great help from coaches and some of you on social media, we projected it to 100% accuracy for the first time ever doing this.

TRAC champion (in this case, Buchanan) stuck with a D1 5 seed, lowest in history of divisional format, I believe.

After the HS baseball action tonight, and a note from CIF, I have an entirely different but more accurate picture of Division I (if I understand the CIF correctly). All D1 teams are waiting for playoffs. SJM is No. 1 in D2. I’ll have all divisions next week when MaxPreps updates

There’s truth here. Lack of strong #2 pitchers is evident up and down the Central Section. There are some strong aces this year but I see a significant drop off. Am I off on this?
