My almost five year old is still considered non verbal
He can say “hi, no, hey” clearly
Sometimes he’ll say “beep beep” clearly
But he has an impairment muscle wise and so far he can’t articulate things correctly
So he will imitate things. He can imitate the entire ABCs, old McDonald, counting to 12.
He has all the right sounds if you know what to listen for. I often can tell what he’s saying. Most people can’t.
But, yesterday I found him watching a video on his learning tablet on how to pronounce the Turkish alphabet 😭😆
My little genius. After he “counted” to 12 a second ago I could have sworn he started over in Japanese 😆
