@ThreeJacques @sambellcumi I'm with you on that. There is some water that has made it over the hill. So that's good news for them. That says they're slow but moving. I was in Mumbai a couple weeks back, change is starting there. No doubt the driving is still suicidal but that's the least of their concerns.

@ThreeJacques @sambellcumi Past mistakes led them to where they are now. I've been following Modi's reform plans, and while not widespread enough due to the country's size, some reform is happening in major states. It'll definitely take generations.

@jsonep @sambellcumi It seems to be kind of unchanging. You have people reacting to that aspect of India in the 18th and 19th century. In the 1950s India and Pakistan tried to stop most of their citizens leaving the country because of the terrible impression of them they feared it would create.
