Thanks @WxCastle! I believe this opportunity is limited to Canadians exploring severe weather in Canada. It’s an important detail that I failed to work into the character limit in my message above 🤪!

@ericbkennedy @ericbkennedy, is the town of Jasper within the national park geographic boundary?
English

@illustratedword @CBCNews I was thinking the exact same thing. A town is literally on fire and we are being shown Canada’s village in Paris followed by news on American politics. Disappointing @CBCNews

👏🚨👏 The 2024 ImpactWX Genesis Grant recipients have been selected! Congratulations to @Archwayca, Alliance North, @EvergreenCanada & @Tbayfood- all working hard to improve #severe #wx #awareness #response #preparedness & #resilience in #Canada.

There were uncontrollable sobs in my chest as I stood at Peez’uh near Pee-hee-mm-huh (Thacker Pass) where it’s being dug up for North America’s largest lithium mine. Indigenous Peoples whose ancestral territories this is that I interviewed, do not want their lands sacrificed to meet the world’s need for the “green” transition.
The pain here is deep. Paiute-Shoshone were massacred here and their ancestors I spoke with told me some of them ran up this hill to try to escape. @ricochet_en @indiginews @therealnews
