Name of a new Nintendo Today content series or the panicked string of reactions from execs when they first learned the Virtual Boy bombed?

For those who doubted if Nintendo would celebrate Zelda’s 40th, prepare to eat Link’s hat…. tunic… thing… (a phrygian?) Between the Ocarina remake rumor and Zelda movie trailers in front of the likes of Avengers and Dune, feels like a holiday cross-marketing blitz is coming.
任天堂株式会社@Nintendo

This is Miyamoto. I would like to let you know that the worldwide theatrical release date for the live-action film of The Legend of Zelda has been moved up to April 30, 2027, from May 7. The team is working hard to deliver the film to everyone as soon as possible. There’s less than a year to go until release, so thank you for waiting.

The way I melted when a delivery robot just politely asked and thanked me for pressing a crosswalk button. I’m going to be worthless when the robot apocalypse happens.

Fun night at Night of Too Many Stars last night! A ton of comedy bookended by two musical moments I never thought I’d witness: the trio of Conan on guitar, Jon Stewart on drums, and Jimmy Kimmel on clarinet; and Adam Sandler performing an original song. #NetflixIsAJokeFest

So now, a flip. Game prices are coming down, hardware price is going up, and the new forecast is more games yet fewer consoles. [2/2]

Star Fox 64 is an all-time fave. I’ll always feel like Nintendo robbed me of a moment by spoiling Fox in the Mario Galaxy Movie. But the rush of the past 45 minutes, from the alert of this surprise Direct to GameChat letting you *be* the comms? An excellent consolation prize!
Nintendo of America@NintendoAmerica

The Star Fox Direct is now available to watch on demand! Catch the roughly 15-minute presentation and get the latest details on #StarFox, launching June 25 on Nintendo Switch 2. #NintendoDirect Watch here: ninten.do/6014vMczY

@kbopp6 I initially thought the same! Weird how something so simple becomes so, well, not.

@jsr7 These are fascinating because I always assumed you'd just get the card and go home. I never considered you might not get to keep them! Or that card variety varies?? How bizarre!

I’ve made it my mission that if I upgrade a Switch game I physically own to a Switch 2 Edition, I get the download card to put in its box. Some interesting, admittedly very niche learnings I’ve made along the way... [1/3]

3. They're not available at launch! Full games are available day one, but it takes 4-5 weeks for these Upgrade Packs to hit shelves. [3/3]

1. The card quality varies! Best Buy sells the thickest card stock, followed by Target and papery GameStop. 2. Not every store lets you keep the actual card! Oddly enough, even Nintendo’s own store in San Francisco said they can’t. [2/3]

TIL if Octavian is a resident of your Animal Crossing island, you’re actually playing a nature documentary.
