That’s not how this works.
Corporations doing charity drives (like at the register) do not benefit in any way monetarily from collecting the donations.
Once again, tectone does not know what he’s talking about.

Multimillionaires donating their communities money to charity to get tax write offs for themselves In fact does not make them a good person. It’s completely self-serving and I’m tired of people pretending that it’s not.

She can do whatever she wants with the money she earns, and I’m willing to bet a small portion if her income at this point is directly coming from viewer tips.
Regardless that’d be like your waiter at a restaurant saying “I donated half my tips last week to Green Peace” and have you be pissed about it.

Write offs are from current year income or from donating assets to charity to offset current year income.
Donations are income.
If donations are paid to someone for the purpose of donating the entire amount received to charity, there is a zero gain.
If it is just someone slicing off a portion of their tips, it would make no difference if they made 40,000 or 4 million a year, aside from magnitude.
