For a second, it looks like it’s done. But, it doesn’t stop. After tasing him, the officer keeps at him, even though he's on the ground with his hands up in surrender. I was in an airport restroom when a man knocked and said, “Dad with a 4 year old coming in!” He sounded mortified. He kept his back to everyone, stared at the ceiling like it personally offended him, and speed-walked his daughter into a stall. A woman whispered, “Unbelievable.” What’s unbelievable is expecting a preschooler to brave the men’s restroom alone in a crowded airport. He did the respectful thing: he warned us, kept it brief, and focused on his child. Sometimes the safest choice isn’t the most traditional one.
