ESPN sources: the Chiefs and Rams are working on a blockbuster trade that would send All-Pro CB Trent McDuffie to Los Angeles for a package that would include the 29th overall pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft. McDuffie would be expected to sign a long-term deal with the Rams.

The Chiefs gave up a 1st, 3rd, and 4th to get Trent McDuffie (those picks become Cole Strange, Matt Corral, and Jack Jones).
They then got four years out of McDuffie on a rookie deal then traded him today for a 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 6th.

@MarkAGunnels Veach is great. Insane that the team has had a top 3 run of all time and fans are still butt hurt.
That being said, I def would have let go of a 3rd for hall. Who cares if you can’t resign him, this year represents ~10% of the time left you have with mahomes.

I think the Brett Veach conversation is fascinating because this franchise has experienced unprecedented success as of late. Patrick Mahomes gets majority of that credit (Veach advocated for him). Also, Veach rebuilt the defense, offensive line, and now the WR room. However, I think he's become too arrogant when it comes to his drafting, which isn't perfect (no one is). At the end of the day, Veach is a really good GM, but he definitely has flaws. They should've made a move today.

@CantCookJyair Yeah. Would be a massive upgrade at a position of need and add another element to a booming offense. Would even do it knowing he’s a rental because it would increase the SB odds that much more.
