just looking at a classic partner logo slide at the #googlecloud event and i am not going to lie, i really like the new @Redisinc logo. it stands out. the typography runs against modern corporate brand conventions with everyone using sans serif typefaces and i am here for it.

Elder sysadmins: share your ridiculous server naming schemes. I'll go first: Dune. Mailservers named after guild navigators, all-purpose utility server that changed identities all the time was "Scytale," 40 DHCP servers all named "Duncan Idaho," etc.

Fun trivia piece: over the last week AWS started tweaking the AWS docs content to be better for GenAI/LLMs.
Tiny and unsophisticated changes (clearer section titles, first sentence in each section being framing/TLDR, excessive naming and context, etc) but changes nonetheless!

Update, based on small tests: yup, tiered documentation does bring improvements on all metrics. Fabulous surprise: detailed changelogs have oversized impact. Up next: figuring out the economics and where and how this has the best return. Human UI TBC.

Bureaucracy in your business internals is a killer and you really want to shut that down, but there is also a certain kind of low-level bureaucracy which is great for gating risk-averse rule-followers and filtering through the driven results-oriented action takers who ignore it.
