Interesting how the world often treats the French Revolution as the only great symbol of freedom and rights, while the Haitian Revolution is treated like a footnote. Yet, Haiti did what many abolitionists elsewhere only preached, i.e., enslaved people rising up and defeating an empire, abolishing slavery, and claiming freedom by force. Haiti’s history deserves equal, and maybe greater, reverence. Brilliant documentary by @AJEnglish 👌🏽

@juIiusjr @GaiusChetto @KyleKulinski If you’re prepared to say that in a bad year, the factory worker gets paid $0 for the year and is in fact liable for debt, then I’ll think your position has teeth. If they want in on the reward, then they have to take on the risk. There’s simply no other way.

Its impossible for a CEO to generate value without a labor force. Replace the workers w no labor force: 0 value being generated = no reason for the stocks to exist in the first place

WHATS THE POINT OF BUYING THE STOCK IN THE FIRST PLACE? BC OF THE EXPECTATION THAT THE COMPANY WILL GENERATE FUTURE PROFITS (which is only possible through labor)

Yes its an exchange, but its unfair one. Billionaires only exist bc they make disproportionate amnt of $ off the backs of ppl struggling to get by
