(Personal post from acct mgr. Mark G.) Shattered isn’t a strong enough word. Tonight I lost part of my soul. Tonight I lost Juno. That first pic is one of the most important photos I have of him. I took it after he helped me during one of the darkest moments of my life. I will never forget that look in his eyes. It helped me hold on, in that moment and long after. Juno wasn’t a pet. He wasn’t only the best PTSD Service Dog ever. He was my best friend, my protector, and part of my soul. He was pure JOY and LOVE in a furry wrapping. He was a kid at heart, always playful and goofy, but he could turn serious and into a protective warrior in an instant. That was Juno, loving, watchful, funny, loyal, and brave. I am whatever is past shattered tonight. If you pray, please say one for Juno. He saved me in more ways than I can ever explain. You would have loved him too. And he would have loved you. Unconditionally. That’s just who he was. I can only try to honor his memory by trying to love as strongly as he did. If that’s even possible. I love you forever, buddy.
