If I am not on social media for a bit, it’s because of this collision that happened today and totalled my car. I have whiplash and a possible concussion but otherwise I’m okay. Going to try and limit screen time over the next few days.

L'OCA Quality Markets will close next Thursday. In a statement to @CityNewsYEG, they point to the "difficulty of executing a locally focused, hand-crafted business model." The Edmonton and Sherwood Park locations both opened in the last two years.

@TamaraVineberg Make sure he does all the after care things and takes the pain meds as directed to keep the pain control steady in the first day or so, instead of waiting until it feels really bad. When he doesn't need those meds any longer, get them out of the house (back to the pharmacy).

Starting off my day by being a mom as my son is getting all of his wisdom teeth out. Any tips for his recovery?

Too sudden and too soon to lose Dr. Gary Lopaschuk, a gentleman, great scholar, and dear friend. This shocking news will be felt for a long time by everyone who interacted with Gary and by his trainees, who he helped and guided to reach their maximum potential, including myself.

I thought I should share an update about my mom. My mom deteriorated overnight and we are moving to a palliative care approach.

@TamaraVineberg So hard. Very good you took a break so you can keep going.

Slept at my mom’s apartment last night to get a break and rest from the hospital. My mom is finally in a unit after five days in emergency. Back at the hospital this morning and I need to keep constantly massaging her muscles.

@TamaraVineberg I hope the stone passes soon. Hard to be afar, especially in these type of situations.

This morning has been a lot of calls between Montreal and me as my mom is in the hospital. We're waiting for a kidney stone to pass and she has other issues. Feeling a bit helpless.

@TamaraVineberg @staceybrotzel I have become a fan of hormone replacement therapy (if it's right for you)! And mind calming/distraction techniques to get back to sleep. Eg: picking a letter of the alphabet and naming words that begin with that letter. Sometimes I need a couple of letters worth but rarely more.
