@MattWalshBlog You're describing exactly how many feel about Charlie Kirk's assassination.

So just to recap: a prison guard who lied to the authorities about checking on Epstein also coincidentally made a series of deposits in the weeks leading up to his death that were so suspicious that the bank independently reported them to the police. That same prison guard was searching for news about Epstein in the moments before his death. And that same guard was independently named by inmates who claimed that she was involved in covering up the killing. Also, two cameras in front of Epstein's cell malfunctioned while all of this was happening. That's a whole lot of coincidences stacking up on top of each other. I don't know. Seems strange to me. But I'm no detective.

@sweatystartup If I count as my kids nanny, then yes. It's a great car for kids. My kids love it. Their friends think we're cool.
Best vehicle I've ever owned.

@anymanfitness People never “get ahead” because they can’t think long term (like you did). They can’t delay gratification (like you did.). Our culture (the “buy jet skis” people) fight against this wisdom.
English

I married my wife in 2005; she was an engineer, I was a middle school teacher.
From 2005-2013, she made 2x my salary.
In 2013, I started Anyman Fitness on the side.
Ever since then, I've been smart with my money. Paid off debt first. Then started investing. Didn't change my lifestyle (much). Just keep funneling away.
Recently, my wife's job became super stressful (now a project manager).
We sat down and crunched the numbers. Looked at how much we had invested/saved, as well as my income, and our expenses.
She put in her 2 weeks. Her last day is next Friday. We will now be a single income household - she is retiring at the age of 45.
For years, people told me we should have fun with our money. Buy a second home/lake house. Buy jet skis and boats. Take more extravagant vacations. Put in a pool.
Etc, etc, etc.
Even on occasion my wife would question my obsession with investing. I would tell her "one day you'll be happy we saved so much".
That day is here.
The real flex isn't having "stuff".
It's having options.

We were sold a broken definition of financial freedom.
I just wrote about why the cultural version fails and what true freedom looks like from a biblical perspective — peace plus provision, not one or the other.

I fasted in different ways for years @LawrenceLepard . It works but it’s really hard and not sustainable. But I lost 25 pounds from a different plan that is way better.
Carnivore diet. Eat only beef, bacon, grass fed butter, and eggs. You will lose as much weight as you want to lose while not having to suffer.

We all know money can be used for evil.
Money isn’t the enemy. Idolatry is.
Put money in its rightful place. Money is a tool.
And if you handle it with wisdom, it becomes a tool for freedom, generosity, and Kingdom impact.

Many of us want financial freedom but are avoiding the hard work of building the foundation. I spent a decade in that trap.
In my latest Substack post, I break down the practical steps needed to break free from financial anxiety and step fully into your calling.

@PhilMatthews11 @alexbeauchamp3 I wasn't trying to impact my life. It took me 10 seconds to write a note about the bummer that sugar is added to everything we eat for no reason. I'm confused why you think it's so bad for me to suggest not using sugar.
English

@judsonmorgan @alexbeauchamp3 neither do granola bar's, yet it is there. Is it really going to impact your life to comment on how someone makes a 1/3 inch squared piece of bread distributed for rememberance of Christ?
English

@PhilMatthews11 @alexbeauchamp3 Bread doesn’t need sugar. It’s just lazy to add sugar to bread.
English

@judsonmorgan @alexbeauchamp3 Let’s put this in a proportional size. Standard size communion cracker vs idk…. A single grape? Who wins the sugar battle? One skittle you grabbed from a bowl or this communion cracker? Now is it really worth the comment?
English

@alexbeauchamp3 Uh. That’s a lot of pressure for a man.
Maybe get healed by Jesus and the Holy Spirit in you, then a good man can be your partner in life rather than your healer?
