A few years back, sitting Ministers in India were advising people to buy Indian stocks. Now, nothing. Why this sudden change? 1) In the US, almost 50%+ citizens have exposure to the stock market. In India, this would be less than 5%. This was never a broad issue to care about. 2) We now have bigger things to worry about: eg. job creation, strengthening of currency, supporting struggling mid-sized industries. Stock markets pumping falls low on priority level. 3) Most importantly: Stock Market in India has been a PE expansions game. Some companies: let's call them A, they should trade at 20 PE. But, due to market exuberance. And, forced buying of these stocks (due to excess SIP inflows), the PE goes 40. They stake their equity, take loans, buy real assets. That was the game. This was the same game in startup world: build D2C firms, expand PE, sell it to retail (who keep buying at whatever PEs). This cycle is now in a mature stage. When the new cycle starts, the old tricks will start again. Till then: the market stays sideways.

The will of the people is supreme. If Bengal wanted BJP then Bengal has got BJP. We respect that. We fought the good fight against unimaginable odds on an uneven pitch and for that I am proud of my leader & my party. NCERT ने सिर्फ 10 करोड़ के टर्नओवर वाली कंपनी को 121 करोड़ रुपए की पेपर सप्लाई का ठेका दे दिया। नतीजा...कंपनी को 20 हजार मीट्रिक टन पेपर की सप्लाई करनी थी, लेकिन सप्लाई सिर्फ 4500 मीट्रिक टन की कर पाई है। इसलिए पर्याप्त किताबें नहीं छपी हैं। देशभर में लाखों बच्चे बिना किताब पढ़ने को मजबूर हैं !!
