My hero @WaelDahdouh. If he wasn’t Palestinian, he’d be the most famous face in the world decorating the covers of every magazine as person of the year. A man who has almost lost his life multiple times, yet never lost the will to keep covering the crimes against his people. When Israel bombed his wife and kids whom he loved so dearly, he persisted. When they shot him and killed his cameraman yesterday, he still cried out to the paramedics to go to those who had more severe injuries. And he continued to report even from his hospital bed. A symbol of courage. A symbol of hope. A symbol of faith. I love you my brother Wael. May Allah preserve you for us, and unite you with your loved ones once again in paradise. Ameen

CPR INSTRUCTIONS
CPR is life-saving and most adult should learn to administer it. Performing CPR safely and effectively requires proper training and certification. The following steps are for informational purposes only and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical training.
Before you begin:
Call emergency services immediately. This is the most critical step. Early CPR intervention can significantly increase the chances of survival.
Ensure your own safety. Check the scene for any hazards to yourself or the person needing help. If it's unsafe to proceed, move to a safe location and call for help from a distance.
Performing CPR:
Check for responsiveness. Gently shake the person's shoulders and ask loudly, "Are you okay?" If they don't respond, move on to the next step.
Check for breathing. Look for chest movement and listen for breath sounds. If the person is not breathing normally (gasping, shallow breaths, or no breaths), begin CPR.
Place the person on their back on a firm, flat surface.
Open the airway. Tilt the head back and lift the chin using the head-tilt/chin-lift maneuver.
Give 30 chest compressions.
Place the heel of your hand on the center of the chest, just below the breastbone.
Place your other hand on top of the first hand and interlock your fingers.
Push down hard and straight down, aiming for a depth of at least 2 inches (5 cm).
Push at a rate of 100 to 120 compressions per minute.
Allow the chest to rise fully between compressions.
Give 2 rescue breaths.
Pinch the person's nose shut.
Seal your mouth over the person's mouth and take a normal breath.
Blow steadily into the person's mouth until their chest rises.
Give 2 breaths, each lasting about 1 second.
Continue cycles of 30 chest compressions followed by 2 breaths.
Perform CPR for 2 minutes (5 cycles) without stopping.
If you are alone, stop CPR every 2 minutes to check for signs of breathing or a pulse. If the person is still not breathing or has no pulse, continue CPR.
If you have help, take turns performing CPR every 2 minutes to avoid exhaustion.
Continue CPR until help arrives or the person starts breathing on their own.
Additional tips:
If you are not trained in CPR, you can still perform chest compressions only. This is better than doing nothing at all.
If you have a barrier device, such as a face shield or resuscitation mask, use it to protect yourself from contact with the person's mouth and nose.
Stay calm and focused while performing CPR.
Remember, CPR is a life-saving skill. If you are ever in a situation where someone needs help, don't hesitate to act.

Inna lillah wa inna ilayhi rajioon. Two brothers of a lifelong Dallas community member, Reem Mahdi Muhanna, were killed by Israeli shelling in Gaza on Sunday. Dr. Basel Mahdi and Dr. Raed Mahdi were OBGYN physicians who were murdered in their private hospital where patients and other community members were seeking shelter. Dr. Raed’s wife and 7 children were also killed in the attack. May Allah have mercy on them and make it easy for their families.

They’re all this beautiful and precious. All 5 thousand or so Palestinian babies we have seen with white phosphorus burns, missing limbs, decapitated by bombs, pulled from under the rubble, terrorized in hospitals and schools, starved and brutalized. These are the babies you called animals and children of darkness. Your genocide is ugly. Your hearts are dead. Our children are now birds of paradise.

She’s lucky she can take a break from it all. The people of Palestine can’t.

Selena Gomez shares statement on Israel and Palestine: “I'm sorry if my words will never be enough for everyone or a hashtag. I just can't stand by innocent people getting hurt. That's what makes me sick. I wish I could change the world. But a post won't.”
