It won't be required to know multiple programming languages, but rather how to prompt and use multiple tools based on a companies workflow. What they'll want you to know: claude, cursor, nano banana, apis, mcps, etc and how it all works together.

True, but the barrier to entry drops significantly. No longer do you need the equivalent of a very difficult math degree to get these jobs. You just need a high level understanding of what to prompt. The skillset required lessens, and so the applicant pool grows. Wages will drop because the industry will be more inundated than it already is. Humans in general will retire in the next 10 years for 90% of people. But coding will take big hits first, as it already is for junior roles.

If Claude Code can now write code, run the app, debug errors, review pull requests, and even fix bugs automatically what exactly is left for junior developers to do?

Everyone thinks I’m crazy for having this viewpoint. I think you’re crazy for not having it. In less than 5 years AI control logistics, defense systems, power grids, capital markets. We will have given AI the keys to everything. And you think humans stay at the top of that food chain? It might be an extreme statement but we will either be killed by the robots or enslaved by them. AI while incredible, is going to destroy civilization as we know it.

This whole cronus thing is honestly just absurd. Why on earth would I ever risk using something like that after competing for 5 years on WZ & on the year 4 LANs are announced & the best team I have ever had. This situation is affecting my lively hood, my family & my teammates. I have a vod up on my twitch of me streaming for a hour straight after the false 6 day temp ban showed up going over my setup & searching my entire gaming PC. I have legit nothing to hide & whatever I need to do to clear my name I will do. I just need this cleared up I dont care about all the hate im getting, all I care about is being able to compete this up coming Monday for Birmingham.
