@dave43law @pritipatel In fact, stop the 2 homes nonsense completely. All MPs should live within their constituencies and stay overnight in London in reasonably priced accommodation. Office expenses probably can't be avoided, however. Expenses must be properly overhauled: they're not value for money.

@dave43law @pritipatel If you really want to save some unnecessary expenditure, shut the bars and restaurants in Parliament. Most ,if not all, workplaces have long closed their subsidised canteen and cap constituency living expenses (benefits are capped) and overnight stays in London.

The Labour government are spending more on welfare payments than they are receiving in Income Tax. Last year the Treasury raised £331.4 billion in Income Tax, while welfare spending reached £332.9 billion.   Conservatives are the only party with a plan to reform the Household Benefit Cap so that all adults who can work will work. We will end an end to the cycle of whole household exemptions to ensure that welfare is a safety net for those who need help and not a lifestyle choice. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/05/0…

@JamesCleverly The 14 years of Tory governments could have implemented all that you propose here, but they didn't, you didn't. Could it be there are no laws abolishing retrospective planning because Travellers aren't the only people who build first, apply later?

This weekend, construction began on an unauthorised traveller site in Willows Green in my constituency, timed to exploit the gap in enforcement over the bank holiday. There is already fencing and groundworks and work has gone on until late into the night. This is a deliberate tactic and it is happening across the country. The current system is not working. I have written to the Housing Secretary, demanding answers and calling on the Government to adopt the @conservatives five-point plan to fix the enforcement framework once and for all. This has to stop. I have also written to Uttlesford District Council and Essex Police about this.

@poglejaydee @TallyCat8 @LeeAndersonMP_ Reform have been doing that, with their get Starmer out campaign since the day Labour was elected. So, too, has Badenoch. The derision for failure to get long term policies completed within weeks/months in government has been rife from those responsible for the mess

@Conservatives The Party who wants to take away PIP and motability from the disabled, thereby removing their ability to work in many cases. Increased low paid employment and poverty during your governments served to make more (working) people needing benefits to survive.

@MichaelRosenYes No mention of the first man ( Muslim) subjected to a knife attack by Suleiman, listed along with his stabbing of 2 Jews at Westminster Magistrates Court. No mention of Jews and members of other religions joining the marches nor of record levels of incidents in both communities

The good thing about being a politician is that you can say that something is 'quite clear', and you probably won't have to prove that it's 'quite clear' other than us being asked to believe that it's 'quite clear' in your brain.
Sky News@SkyNews

Kemi Badenoch has called for pro-Palestine marches to be banned. The Tory leader said it is "quite clear that they are used as a cover for promoting violence and intimidation against Jews". Read more 🔗 trib.al/AGgZgZM 📺 Sky 501, Virgin 602, Freeview 233 and YouTube

@pritipatel Yet again, isn't this something you could have done whn Home Secretary? And why didn't you? Stop moaning about the current HS and government not doing something you and your government could already have put in place. Stop telling lies, too.

Labour's Home Secretary campaigned to block deportations of foreign national offenders, and she voted against visa bans for countries that fail to take back their own nationals. Labour are all talk when it comes to deportations to countries where the UK has returns agreements, some of which were put in place 5 years ago.  Labour lies to the public about their record, but we all know the truth: they opposed tough laws to deal with this issue, while they prefer to constantly back illegal migrants and foreign national offenders over the victims of crime and the law-abiding majority. express.co.uk/news/politics/…

@mightywhitesfc @dave43law Farage must not be allowed to 'Wheel out Yusuf' or anyone else when Leader debates take place. He 'changed his mind' about appearing on Kuenssberg today (nothing to do with Zak being there?) and there was no Reform representative. Could it be this wasn't allowed at short notice?

@Nigel_Farage Whatever you think about Zak, he didn't change his mind about appearing on today's Kuenssberg. You chickened out. The last Party Leader who failed to turn up for his (Andrew Neil) BBC interview became PM but didn't last the course due to constant lying.

@AllisonPearson Apart from the fact that what you call 'persecution of soldiers ' was underway under the Tories. In fact, if the rules/laws are broken 'in the line if duty'(war crimes) our servicemen have to answer for their actions, in accordance with the Geneva Convention and British Law.

On Thursday, Labour founder Keir Hardie would vote Reform. Imagine explaining the identity politics lunacy, persecution of soldiers, economic illiteracy, anti-British agenda to that brilliant, principled Scottish miner. Six Days Till the Death of Labour. 7 May 2026 ☠️

Labour is the ONLY party that could have done this. And Labour is the ONLY party that will continue to defend workers' rights in years to come.

@SuellaBraverman There's been no "cover up". There have been many questions asked at appropriate Parliamentary enquiries over the last 2 weeks which cover anything the PM would be asked. Already asked and answered.

@KemiBadenoch @Conservatives @RicHolden Are you going to remove the 20mph near schools, while most other countries have had similar or slower speeds near schools for many years? There are times when lower speed limits actually keep traffic moving. Love how you blame the current government for what yours is responsible.

We should ban foreigners from claiming benefits, and remove migrants who are incapable of financially supporting themselves - use those many saved billions to slash tax for the British men and women keeping the economy running. We must put our own people first. Finally.
