If I were CEO of The Walt Disney Company, the top five things I’d do day one: 1. Bring back the Disney Look standards for cast members in the park. 2. Hire Lord & Miller to make the Timothy Zahn Thrawn trilogy. 3. Bring back heavily themed Disney Stores as a local taste of the parks in your home town. 4. Full back catalog on Disney+ including Song of the South 5. Give Spaceship Earth a proper ending without the touch screens. What about you?

@AlexArnold88 They even had a cup that Walter Donovan would have liked (not a wooden one though).

I love Karl Urban and he really has the right attitude. BUT when I read this I feel the same as when people say Kevin Bacon should be Freddy Kruger, Tom Cruise as Iron Man, and other such fancasts,,, they’re too old. If you’re casting an iconic role you want someone in their 30s who can play the role several times. Not a one-and-done.

On X, stand-up comedian, Steve Byrne, suggested that "There’s truly only one man that could replace Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones…@KarlUrban HE WOULD CRUSH IT." #KarlUrban commented on the post, "While I appreciate the vote of confidence-Harrison Ford IS Indiana Jones - he is irreplaceable!" @MuseZack Guess it was akin to Aladdin's Genie riffing on Rodney Dangerfield? As an 8-year old in 1992, I had never heard of him (he was never big in Belgium), but it was funny enough to work on its own. And then later, I caught up.

How did the Looney Tunes writers assume their audience would get Of Mice and Men references? Was a movie adaptation really popular, or was Steinbeck a lot more widely read back then?

Originally Steven Spielberg told George Lucas that he wanted to make a James Bond movie but Lucas told him the Concept for Indiana Jones. Then while making Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade, they ended up casting a former Bond actor with Sean Connery to play Indy’s Father.

@juliandebacker Not worth spending the time/money changing the title card on the screen. He mainly did it for uniformity when displayed on shelves and advertising but it is the official name now so licensees have to use it on their products.

@JoshRaby @TheRonyn Agreed. The other day I went to Disney+ to watch “The Director and the Jedi” about Rian Johnson and Mark Hamill during the filming of The Last Jedi. Nowhere to be found. It’s fantastic if you’ve never seen it.

For ESB, director Irvin Kershner decided that Rebel Alliance members would speak with American accents, while Imperial officers would speak with British accents, to apparently* make the story analogous to the American Revolution. However, most supporting actors who appeared as Rebel personnel on Hoth were British. Consequently, Kershner had to redub several scenes at the Hoth rebel base with American voices in post-production.
