For those of you who don’t know my parents are 94 (Dad) and 91(Mum) and they now live with Scott and I. They need help on a daily basis due to health reasons and age. So I’ve decided to do some posts (on my Instagram) about looking after my parents. A lot of people take care of their ageing parents and I thought some posts about it might help other people who are doing the same. Dear Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's, Lid, Aldi, Waitrose, Morrisons, and all other stores that have self checkout. You are heading towards almost exclusively self-checkout now. The lady checking receipts at the exit was stopping everyone. I didn't choose to participate in that nonsense, I had already 🛒 filled my cart 🛒 emptied my cart 🛒 scanned the items 🛒refilled my cart and so I just skipped the exit line and left. I heard her saying "umm - Excuse me " as I kept walking and raised the receipt above my head, leaving the store. You can either trust me to do self-checkout, or you can put your cashiers back in place like it used to be. I'm not interested in proving that I did your job for you. • If you want me to be a cashier with no training then that's vour problem not mine. • Keep employing young people and give them job opportunities. YOU DON'T PAY ME TO SCAN MY OWN SHOPPING. YOU DON'T GIVE ME STAFF DISCOUNT FOR WORKING FOR YOU. Signed ....All of us These are jobs that are needed to have for young and old

3. Wales Online's website is awful. Intrusive ads galore. As online metrics seem to be the main barometer of success I'd be tamping if I was employed there and my work is displayed so shoddily. I'm on a laptop - the article only occupies 1/4 of the screen. It's a chore to read

@Majeh19 No but the police/council are stopping people getting in their cars to walk their dogs

@julie2dimples My only point is that it is not against government guidelines or the law to drive to walk your dog or exercise. In the majority of cases I believe it is safer to do so. I'm not making excuses for morons descending on a quaint little village or town.

Yes but the issue is that there cannot be one rule for one and one for another - live in an area of outstanding natural beauty which has been rammed by people driving there to walk the dog!!

@Majeh19 No but going back to my original point how do you differentiate - you can’t tell them you can go here and not there cos the morons just won’t get it... Google Gower and see why they all want to come here!

@julie2dimples There isn't two separate rule systems ffs, there is one set and it is set by government.

@allisonpearson @Channel4News Yes here in Swansea you can only walk in your area and not drive.... people were flocking to the Gower peninsular - absolutely crazy....

Just saw copper on @Channel4News telling someone in a car they couldn’t drive to go for a walk. Why not? Many people need to drive to get to a green space, especially to walk dogs. Surely, that’s not illegal?
