Over last few weeks she has said we are just normal, nothing special, a bit boring but happy, blessed and content. It has been my absolute privilege and joy to think if this journey is normal then how amazing. We had no regrets and lived happy and kind. It's a simple game.. Love

Dear all, I really have no words for this. The love of my life, Julie Bolus died yesterday. She has been exceptional as a wife, mum, nurse and friend. She lived with love and wanted us to be kind and care. It been my honour to be her husband. We have lived every minute. David

My last post has taken some time. Seems a large inoperable brain tumor makes trying to type tough. I will only wish I could continue our nursing conversation and hope you continue to keep nursing relevant checking out x

I could not be prouder of my fantastic kids. That even dispite our personal tragic story they have continued to care for others less fortunate than themselves. #bekind

Thank you to my fabulous family and friends for their love and generosity. I am unable to read much of what has been written because of the tumor but feel the love. Continue to be kind and generous to those less fortunate than yourselves.

For my family and for other people's families. Nursing has given me every dream and hope please keep improving our profession, our patients deserve it. My prognosis is very limited but I will live all my life as a nurse.

I have been a proud nurse for all my life and would not have changed one moment of my chosen profession. No one has any more right than anyone else to escape from cancer but we need to keep trying so that families can survive and thrive. It's been the honour of my life to care

My darling mother is incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support and continues to have a deep reverence for her colleagues across health care. Here is Jules doing what she does best, because you should always be the first on the dancefloor.

Today has been a devastating day I seem to have managed to have had a devastating cancer diagnosis. I have been so loved. I know my life will be short but how blessed I have been.

NHS head Simon Stevens just skewered @BorisJohnson @RishiSunak and @MattHancock by confirming he and the NHS had been budgeting for a 2.1% pay rise for staff this year, which compares with the government’s recommendation nurses should get just 1%. When asked by @Jeremy_Hunt...

Ministers say the 1% pay rise they want for nurses is a “real” above-inflation increase. But their own official forecaster the ⁦@OBR_UK⁩ said only two days ago that it would be a “real” decrease in pay. See attached. So slightly odd ministers keep making this bizarre claim
