Some things hurt more than I wanted to admit. But today is Monday a reset, a fresh page, a new beginning and I’m choosing to enter it with expectation instead of fear. Father, I prophesy over this week: • No chaos will follow me into it. • No anxiety will control it. • No discouragement will dictate it. • No enemy plan will prosper in it. Yesterday, one of the individuals I represent on a pro bono basis shared devastating news: the tragic death of his daughter. Before his remand, Mr Eyo, had been the sole provider for his family, shouldering their needs with unwavering dedication. According to him, his beloved daughter, Abasifreke, succumbed to the cruel interplay of hunger and malaria, as his wife, left without resources, could not secure the care she so desperately required. He is utterly heartbroken, his spirit shrouded in profound sorrow. His case is scheduled for a hearing next month, following nearly three years of confinement in the correctional centre, a period marked by enduring uncertainty. Yet, amid this darkness, we hold firm to hope: that justice will prevail, restoring his freedom. For he stands accused of a crime he did not commit, one about which he possesses no knowledge whatsoever.

When ever I randomly feel lonely, sad, low or a subtle numbness or emptiness creeping in…I instantly feel better when I talk to God. I realize “Oh, I just needed to talk to you 😭”
