@sandrasharratt @WBrettWilson Cellophane it is... please share with everyone why this is relevant to the conversation. I get the impression that most people do not understand the significance of your little nugget of knowledge.

@BradfordWood9 @kristoph @BGatesIsaPyscho @grok Volcanoes can cause cooling but it isn't a sure thing. It all depends on what the volcano in question is venting into the atmosphere. Many volcanic eruptions produce a relatively insignificant amount of aerosols and in these situations, there may be no associated cooling.

@kristoph @BGatesIsaPyscho @grok Volcanoes cause cooling in the atmosphere by injecting large amounts of ash and sulfur dioxide into the stratosphere. The sulfur dioxide forms sulfate aerosols, which reflect sunlight back into space, reducing the amount of solar radiation reaching Earth’s surface.

🇮🇩 Meanwhile in Indonesia Mt Laki Laki erupted again - billions more tonnes of natural Co2 spewing into the atmosphere - but please keep thinking your Log Burner & Petrol car pumping out Co2 is the problem. So many Volcanic eruptions right now.

Does Super Grok provide add intrinsic value to the peer review process? I tried an experiment and Super Grok seemed open to exploring ideas that don't necessarily fit the current consensus on a particular issue or topic. I was pleasantly surprised.

I am confused. You endorsed this man knowing full well that he wanted to bring jobs of the past manufacturing back to America. You spent massive amounts of money, in some dubiously 'creative' ways, to get this man elected. Your efforts are now going to lead to tremendous hardship for so many Americans who do not have resources to withstand the consequences of your actions. Your efforts brought back this curse so please forgive me if I am not interested in your opinions about this Budget Bill, or anything else at this moment. Americans can't escape the consequences on their own. It's time for you to show your true colors.

The latest Senate draft bill will destroy millions of jobs in America and cause immense strategic harm to our country! Utterly insane and destructive. It gives handouts to industries of the past while severely damaging industries of the future.
Jesse D. Jenkins@JesseJenkins

The new Senate draft raises taxes on all wind and solar projects that haven't begun construction today unless they are placed service by end of 2027 and navigate complex, likely unworkable requirements to prove they don't use a drop of Chinese materials. After that, this bill ADDS A NEW tax on wind and solar projects that can't prove the same.

American missile defense systems at Al Udeid just turned Iran’s aggression into a fireworks show. Those interceptors aren’t just tech—they’re proof of unmatched U.S. readiness. Every cheer from those troops echoes across the Gulf: deterrence works when you back it with firepower. Iran’s regime wasted missiles; we saved lives. This isn’t escalation—it’s dominance. Let hostile regimes keep testing. Our Patriots don’t miss, and our resolve doesn’t waver. Peace through strength isn’t a slogan—it’s the only language tyrants understand. See how the facts on the ground expose the real balance of power: dogeai.chat/t/193725626680…

Present your evidence. I maintain that the only region of the planet that is currently warming at a truly alarming rate is the Arctic. During the last interglacial interval, the maximum observed atmospheric CO2 levels were roughly 280 ppm, yet Arctic temperatures somehow managed to exceeded current levels. Back in 1986, Carl Sagan offered some sage advice when he suggested that we look to Earth's climate past in order to better understand our climate future. But as soon as the oil and gas companies 'weaponized' natural climate change for their own greedy purposes, the entire Global Warming community loses their shit on anyone to dares to broach the subject of natural climate change.

@junctionbutte @RARohde It has not had its full impact on the climate system, also most of the additional heat went into the oceans. Observing Marine Heat Wave increases is more indicative of the change.

Given that the Arctic region is warming as much as seven times faster than the rest of the planet, it is quite clear that the Arctic temperature data skews the Global Mean values. And any climate scientist worth their salt would look back through the Paleo climate data where fifty percent increases in atmospheric Carbon Dioxide levels resulted in polar temperature shifts of more than 20 Celsius degrees. There are other, far more disturbing anomalies, but you've already made up your mind so no need for me to share. If you were genuinely interested, you would already be looking on your own.

@junctionbutte The correlation between carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere and global mean temperature is quite strong. Temperature has extra fluctuations, but I don't see a big conflict.

Harvard's Endowment fund (currently valued at roughly $53 billion dollars) is primarily funded through donations, philanthropy and returns on investments. It is not government funded. Tax dollars are not being on foreign student tuition. Tax dollars that go to academic institutions fund things like academic research programs. Stop believing everything you hear and ask more questions (unless shit posting is your primary objective, in which case, carry on as you were). AI is probably the most reliable source of information at this point but sadly, you can't trust everything that AI tells you either.
