Let me get this straight: Cats sleep with their newborns Bears sleep with their newborns Cows sleep with their newborns Elephants sleep with their newborns Goats sleep with their new borns Humans on the other hand? Mothers are told that sleeping with their new born babies is a terrible idea and they must put the babies in a separate room or bed to keep them safe. Sounds like another example of humans thinking they’re smarter than nature.

@day_tom @LNallalingham However, your income and hours of work can affect your eligibility for Council Tax Reduction if you are on a low income. SO PEOPLE ON benefits with 5 kids on low income will get a higher Reduction than someone working.

@june2locked @LNallalingham Do you know people who are on benefits? It is a myth that they all have more money than someone working. If that was the case why don't all the people stating they would get more, go and do it? But they don't. As benefits are there as a safety net.

Labour say many people on benefits are working. That’s true. But on average only 20 hours a week. Why should those working 40 or 60 hours a week, who aren’t well off and have kids of their own, pay more in tax to pay for those working less? Many will think, why do I bother?

@ClaireCoutinho Those who work less aren’t incentivised to work more hours or they will lose their free council tax, universal credit and other benefits. We live in a society that pays more not to work.
