This time she insisted that the braking was part of the NORMAL operating behavior of Jaecoo AEB. She advised me to turn off AEB before driving (each time). Disappointed and bemused. Why is turning off AEB (a driver assistance feature that is supposed to offer better safety), would solve a safety threat to other road users? 😓 Additionally, if this is a NORMAL operating behavior: 1. Why did it only show up on my car after passing the same spot several times safely? 2. Why it does not seem to manifest on other Jaecoo cars passing the same spot? 3. Why cars from other makes with AEB do not seem to manifest the same NORMAL behavior passing the same spot? Looks like Jaecoo Careline is more keen to solve the person who raises the problem, rather than the problem itself. 😓

Turn off AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) each time before driving. So? problem solved? 😅 What if I forgot to turn it off once, and accident happened? Who's fault is it? Is it the poor motorcylist that follows too close? Is it my fault for forgetting to turn off AEB? Or is it Chery's fault for ignoring this safety threat to road users?
