If you could bring back one lost football ground, which would it be and why? We'll start. Brockville, former home of Falkirk. Centre of town, good transport links, and close for places to eat and drink. Good atmosphere and a place with character.

@tigerroarcouk 4th and 3rd in successive seasons isn't so bad? The playoffs are great to win but heartbreaking to lose.

@SkyBlueArchives Thank you. A Herbert Jones also played for Worcester City. I've tried to establish whether it's the same person but it's more likely the Worcester one was an amateur from Bournebrook, a Birmingham amateur side. Joined Worcester 8.13 then went to Birmingham Trams 11.14.

@YBTAHOAB @MagicOfFACup @Scraggy_74 Glad you got the Horse of the Year Show myth out of the way early on. There were at least two other games played at Wembley between the League Cup and F.A. Cup finals - England v Scotland Schools and F.A. Amateur Cup Final.

#OTD in 1957: The Busby Babes beat Burnley 1-3 in Turf Moor with Billy Whelan scoring all 3 What was remarkable about that day wasn't the Babe's convincing win it was that it was the ONLY EVER game of the Babes that was filmed in colour

@jupu64 @1968Tv Palace had a new strip that season and there would be a clash. When Spurs played at Palace that season they too played in their away strip. I should know, I was there!

@AndyBodfish John Wile was also injured. He returned with a bandage wrapped around his head and blood down his shirt. Went off eventually I think.

Magnificent photo, again. The best ones are with the depth of the terrace. Brian Talbot in the 1978 FA Cup semi final for Ipswich against West Brom in front of the North Bank at Highbury. Talbot split his eye open with this diving header.

@jupu64 @worwarriorsfan I mean yeh, when the ground is a tenth full it can obviously cope with ease. That sort of goes without saying. It couldn’t handle anything above a few thousand properly.

@worwarriorsfan Which is actually exactly what you don’t want from stadium - we’re not American. Also it’s not even that good for driving as there is limited parking and soon to be less. The lack of alternative options is dreadful. One of the least accessible grounds of any sport in the UK.

@sid_lambert @1968Tv I remember Jimmy Hill pointed out in his analysis on MOTD that McQueen was slow coming out of defence and played McDermott onside. It was his United debut.

48 years ago today: Graeme Souness spreads the play, then makes a late run into the box at Anfield. What follows is his first goal for the club… and a volley of the highest order. (👍🎥 @1968tv)
