You can’t have issues with the president, engage in a heated argument with him in Abuja, and then run to Lagos to beg for forgiveness. No, Mr. Wale Edun. How will others see that there are consequences for such actions? In politics, forgiveness is a sin. Ambode learnt hard.

President Tinubu’s style of removing officials is subtle and less embarrassing. He just asks them to resign voluntarily rather than sack them outright. He has zero tolerance for poor performance, and those who work closely with him understand this clearly and fear him for that.

PRESS RELEASE OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY TO THE GOVERNMENT OF THE FEDERATION Tinubu approves minor cabinet reshuffle as Edun, Dangiwa leave FEC .....Oyedele elevated to Finance Minister; Darma ministerial nominee President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle in the membership of the Federal Executive Council. According to a memo signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, two cabinet members, Mr. Wale Edun and Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa are to leave the cabinet while their replacements have been named. Edun, until the latest development, was the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy. He has been directed to hand over to Mr. Taiwo Oyedele who is now to take over as Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy. Oyedele was formerly a Minister of State in the ministry. Also Mr. Muttaqha Rabe Darma (PhD .) has been named as the ministerial nominee and minister designate for the Housing and Urban Development Ministry. The memo also directed Dangiwa to hand over to the Minister of State in the ministry. The memo stated that "all handing over and taking over processes should be completed on or before close of business on Thursday 23rd April, 2026." Explaining the President's decision, Akume said: "These changes are aimed at strengthening cohesion, synergy in governance as well as achieving more impactful delivery on the economy to Nigerians, through the Renewed Hope Agenda." He said the President, in approving the cabinet reshuffle, has fully exercised his powers as conferred on him by Sections 147 and 148 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1999, as amended). The President thanked the outgoing ministers for their services to the nation while wishing them the best in all their future endeavours. The President, Akume noted, equally assured all cabinet members that "the process of reinvigoration shall be continuous." Signed: Yomi Odunuga, Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation 21-04-2026

Peter Obi, the peripatetic, opportunistic and inconsistent politician ever to operate in Nigeria hints that he may leave the ADC, the way he left APGA, PDP and Labour. Listen to him.

Yes, reform is loud But, as Nigerians, we need to be honest with ourselves. The problems we lived with for years were even louder. We just got used to them. The waste, the inefficiency, and the struggle to make simple things work; it became our normal. Now that things are being fixed under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, it won’t be quiet or easy. Real change never is. The noise you hear today is the sound of difficult but necessary change. Nation-building is not a quiet process. It demands courage, sacrifice, and honesty. And while reform may be uncomfortable for Nigerians, it is the only path to lasting stability and shared prosperity for all Nigerians. As of now, the opposition has not told us the alternatives to fuel subsidy removal. They are yet to tell the available option to FX rates reconciliation. They are yet to present a counter offer to young Nigerians on Nelfund's student loan, amongst many others They took us to Egypt during their days. Imagine where a congregation of them all in one place would further take us.

Dear @wizkidayo, This is going to be short. I know we can’t tell you what to do with your life and who you move with; but I just wanted to let you know that Odumodu called us, your fans who stream your songs every day of our lives and support you with everything we have, poor and jobless because we called him out for posting a picture of you and Fela. Grandson who has been disrespecting you all week long. I swear by my parents’ grave, even my family members know I would lay my life down for you without thinking twice; but even you wouldn’t be able to convince me to listen to any songs you have with him. If you think we don’t really matter in the grand scheme of things, no problem. Bye for now.
