Justin and Maki’s collab should be about the art and the music. I support the collab, but some of you are way too pushy with the shipping. Boundaries are part of being a fan, and some of you clearly don’t have that. Give him the respect he deserves.

I'll probably delete because this is a touchy topic for me, but: I respect the collab and the positive influence Maki’s had on Jah - how he's stepped out of his comfort zone, widened his circle both personally and professionally, and become less of a homebody. But when it starts inviting unnecessary intrigue and the same tired stereotypes people always push on him, I can't say I’m fully comfortable with that part of it. And honestly, the way some of you are building narratives around the other guy too - who’s apparently Justin now based purely on conjecture - doesn't sit right with me either. Romanticizing situationships and turning him into some toxic or shitty boyfriend character isn't harmless fun to me. This for me is the most damaging part of this narrative, and it’s never something I'm going to support, even as a multi-shipper. As a newer Mais, I don't use the phrase "If Mais ka talaga" lightly, but genuinely, if you truly support him, this kind of framing of his personality isn't it.
