The real design work for me wasn’t adding more layers or visuals, it was stepping back and asking: what decision is the user trying to make right now, and what will the user actually achieve with this feature?

Lately, I’ve been thinking about why some websites and mobile applications feel “too much” even when every feature is justified. I realised the issue is rarely the features themselves. It’s when we force users to think about too many things at the same time.
