This is why he painted the same things over and over again, whether the Houses of Parliament, the Grand Canal in Venice, the poplars of Normandy, or Rouen Cathedral. They were different every time Monet painted them, and thus all his paintings are different too.

“We’re down by one point…” 🏀 Dozens of you tagged me yesterday on this lovely video of a family infusing a little dramatic play into their toddler’s indoor basketball practice. There’s so much to love here. Our hero’s enthusiastic high five and “Yes, Coach!” had me cheering along, even before the joyful celebration at the end. So fantastic to see the whole family celebrating his success. Watch his face when his parents react. He’s just so delighted. Fully expect to see this little star take over the NBA in 2046.
