This is a hilarious thing to say because I recall hearing countless stories about Alden needing to be fed lines like.. daily on Solo. Maybe it’s an unfounded rumor, but, hey… it’s good to always be humble. That’s evergreen.

There's an ethos of 'Well, I don't [memorize] because then I keep it fresh.' There's people for whom, I guess, that works. But I've watched people not doing that, where it meant the whole crew gets home later and producers are spending more. Especially when it's someone who's a big name, the fact that no one feels comfortable being like, 'Hey, you need to know your lines.' I was like that when I was, like, a teenager... Roughly 220 billionaires reside in California. They employ roughly 10 million people. If a wealth tax passes, everyone with a billion-dollar idea will think twice about whether they want to build that business in California. But that isn’t even the most dangerous part. When this turns out to raise less money than expected, the bar will be lowered to $100 million. Then $50 million. Then $10 million. Then $1 million. They’ll call it “the millionaire tax.” And since ~80% of the California population isn’t a millionaire, they’ll vote it into existence because “it doesn’t affect them.” But many of those “millionaires” are providing jobs. Housing. Innovation. Buying products and services. They’re a net economic benefit. If you discourage them from living in California, they will leave. Then it becomes a downward spiral where they have to tax everyone else to stay afloat. Not saying the system is perfect. But a simpler solution might simply be: spend less money and encourage more people to move back / create a billion dollar idea.

IATSE, the union I am part of, endorsed billionaire Tom Steyer for governor. Our film business is collapsing in California while workers are fleeing to other states, yet they want more of the same policies. These policies that already make the state expensive to live in - which politicians will never get rid of - do not hurt the rich. They hurt the workers they are supposed to represent. Rich people don't care about $3 extra for a gallon of gas, but there goes your Disneyland trip (or any vacation). Higher wages for fast food workers making a Big Mac meal going from $14 to $18 isn't going to punish a Kardashian. Lenient criminal sentences causing Seth Rogen getting his car broken into 18 times might be an acceptable cost of living in LA for him, but the average working person doesn't want to spend $300 to get the glass replaced each time. There's a proposal to tax per mile driven on electric vehicles (AB 1421), which LeBron James and his cyber truck could care fuck all about. By pushing out the middle class, Los Angeles consists only of the wealthy and the poor that serve them. California is not a state. It's a Ritz-Carlton.

Unless a mayoral candidate addresses the actual reasons shooting isn’t happening here, this kind of plea is not useful. They need to say they will work with the CA gov to address these two points: 1. The CA tax credit is almost impossible to get. Change that. 2. The CA tax credit does not apply to ATL. Change that. It’s not about the cap. Without elements 1&2, the CA tax credit is not competitive with those in the rest of the country/world.
