On August 26, 2025, 19-year-old Black autistic college student Victoria Lang was locked out of her dorm in Wichita Falls, Texas and went to a downtown McDonald’s to change her clothes while she waited for housing to be sorted out. A manager called 911, claiming she’d been in the restroom too long and assuming she was homeless. Wichita Falls police officers Daniel Wilson and Douglas Gulley responded; body cam footage shows Wilson choking, dragging, and hogtying Lang as they force her out of the restroom, into the restaurant, and into a patrol car — force the department later labeled “unnecessary and excessive”. Both officers left the Wichita Falls Police Department, with Wilson fired in November 2025 and Gulley resigning afterward. On May 6, 2026, the city finally released five angles of body cam and cruiser video from the arrest, and days later a grand jury indicted former officer Daniel Wilson over his actions in that McDonald’s bathroom. 🎥: @TexomasHomepage

So funny that these people aren’t told that if you’re just polite, 99% of the time you’re going to be completely fine. You CAN act like this dude but the cops always have the option to ruin your day, cost you 5k and then MAYBE yes you’ll be acquitted by a judge but why not simply table your ego and save yourself all that trouble and money? Shopper is accused of stealing by a police officer who claims the store beeper went off. The man walks through the store again to prove he didn't cause it to go off. They even search him and find nothing but still arrest him anyway. Later he was released without charge.

Taco Bell Employee Opens Fire After Customer Fills Water Cup with Soda According to police, three women entered the restaurant and asked for a cup of water. Investigators said one of the women then filled the cup at a soda fountain, which led to a verbal argument with an employee, identified as 20-year-old D’Mari Jy’Quan Patterson. Cellphone video captured Patterson yelling at the women. The sound of a firearm being racked is heard on the video just before a shot was fired inside the dining area. One woman was struck and fell to the floor, while another suffered a graze wound. A third woman fled outside. Patterson allegedly followed and fired another round in her direction, missing her but shattering a window near the entrance. The three women drove themselves to JFK North Medical Center. Two were treated for minor injuries and released; the third was uninjured. After the shooting, Patterson called 911 himself. He claimed a customer had jumped behind the counter and that he believed the women were armed. He admitted firing the gun and told officers he hid it in the management office. No weapons were found on the women. Surveillance video and witness statements did not support his self-defense claim, with police noting the women appeared to be trying to leave. Patterson was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.

71 year old woman ejected from prison door by deputy. Aurinia Thimmhardy, a 71 year old grandmother with a history of mental illness was tossed out of the front door by Sacramento county Deputy Matthew Gurich upon her release. Tension began during processing interaction where Thimmhardy was forcibly grabbed and ejected out the exit by Gurich, causing her to fall face-first onto the concrete. As a result the fall resulted in a broken femur, which required surgery. Thimmhardy remained hospitalized for roughly three months. While she was in the hospital recovering from her injuries, her husband—who was her primary caretaker—passed away. Because of her hospitalization and physical condition, she was unable to be by his side during his final days. Sheriff Jim Cooper terminated Matthew Gurich, stating that such actions do not uphold the standards of the agency. Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office charged Gurich with one felony count of unlawful assault by a public officer. Thimmhardy’s family filed a civil rights lawsuit against Sacramento County and the deputies involved. They are seeking accountability and calling for improved mental health training for first responders.
