Curious Creatures in Ecuador! 🇪🇨 After 3 years of trying, Laura finally made it to meet the artisans we’ve been collaborating with online since 2020 So inspiring to see and hear how the Curious Creatures come to life & to start dreaming up exciting new bespoke creations together

Crochet Workshop 🧶 Today we were back with our other crochet team, based in Betty’s house in Peru After the storytelling, it was time to get to work on something special: reimagining pieces from our archive as we celebrate 20 years of working together. Exciting things ahead!

Crocheted Poppies ❤️ Today focused on a new crocheted poppy design From getting the petal shape right to positioning the brooch pins, everyone worked together to ensure each person left with an approved finished sample & the materials to continue at home, production has begun!

Today’s workshop filming didn’t quite go to plan thanks to some unexpected roadworks But not all was lost! Laura sharing some great insights on quality control, along with some bonus footage of the diggers that decided to steal the show! Sometimes you just have to roll with it!

Brass Jewellery Workshop! Today was all about training and a bit of practice on the final stages of a new necklace design. We worked out a reliable way to fold the metal neatly and consistently without marking the finely textured surface. Everyone nailed it!

Day 4 in Peru 🇵🇪 Laura, Cristina and Paty had a full day of sourcing in Lima’s central market. At the yarn shop of dreams, they stocked up on beautiful cotton used across all our crocheted pieces They opted for a cab home, as this haul was a little too ambitious for the bus!

Day 3 in Peru 🇵🇪 Laura and Cristina finally sat down for the big planning meeting: fair trade monitoring and compliance, production, training, management, pricing, exchange rates, risk register, health & safety, accounts… the works.

Day 2 in Peru: Metal Workshop 🔨 Today is all about experimenting: testing ideas, pushing materials & exploring their potential Not every sample will become a final piece, and that’s part of the process. Some guide us toward what works & what doesn’t & that’s just as valuable

Day 1 in Peru 🇵🇪 First workshop done! We kicked off our new recycling project with a fast-paced first session exploring what the material can do 5 artisans rotated across 5 workstations, spending five minutes at each, no repeating ideas A strong foundation to build on tomorrow
