It’s my first day of 2nd year placement. I’m 2 weeks late starting because I’ve not been very well which is making my first day nerves heightened. It’s been a while since I’ve done a 12 hour shift. Send good vibes 😎#excitedButNervous.

@BNUSchoolofNMAH @cbukhelp Yeah I’ve looked at them There just isn’t anything for those who lost their children to cancer it feels like.

Also why are their a lack of mental health support to those who have lost a child to cancer? Literally apart from calls from our hospice nurses. There been nothing. My GP said we don’t know where to refer when the child passes from cancer 🙄 #ChildhoodCancer #neuroblastoma

@BNUZOE The right choice is always the one you make. You will get back to uni and nursing soon, it will always be there and it will happen when the time is right for you and your family. Hope you are doing as well as can be expect. 💕

Well I’ve been off twitter for a while, trying to figure life out I guess. I miss uni so much I miss my student nurse friends and the environment a lot. But it was the right choice to have time off to understand my loss and new me. So looking forward to coming back!

Tbh I feel very disappointed. My choice to take leave has not been recognised other than a group email to rest my tutor announcing I’m dropping out! No email acknowledging mine So frustrating and disheartening. I supported everyone last year

Who knew losing a child would hit you also badly finically. Not only am I dealing with the loss of my child but also stress of financial issues. Had to return to work earlier than wanted. Just grief and this stress added I feel like I’m breaking

@BeckyF90 Yeah it’s all like in the air etc I been offered a live in job. As I won’t return in sept if I don’t transfer but it’s hard knowing what to do right now nursing sadly is the new hype so unis are full :(

Tough choices to be made… but gosh trying to find a possible university closer to my son to transfer seems impossible 😩 I don’t want to transfer but may be best for my older boy help!

@StudentNurseJB Personally I loved my care home job. Look at a different care home maybe. I found with working with elderly helped when I was on mh placement and dealing with elderly patients as I had learnt best way to communicate
