Here’s the deal… If United went out and splashed £100M on 26-year-old (in the summer) Tonali, Newcastle will then end up getting a player like Wharton or Baleba. Tonali is class, but he’s has issues in the past, and you’ve got to box clever sometimes.

Since 23/24 Lisandro and de Ligt have missed a combined 675 days through injury. Simply put neither can be relied upon. If you’re a club in Europe you absolutely need 5 CB’s, possible even 6. Can you imagine next December Yoro X Heaven having to play 3 times a week?
