caf was fun because of the artists and the community. pero how it was organized didn’t feel like it cared about the artists and the community. unang-una sa lahat, hindi stated na come-and-go event yun, bakit kami sinisigawan na umalis na at sinisita kapag nakatayo kami sa gilid?

what even is carat art fest? is it a place for carats to buy merch? for artists to share their craft? for merchants to earn income? its definitely amazing we’re given a platform to share our art and at the same time feel a sense of community from it—i’m always grateful for that fact. but with 70+ merchants in one day + the way things have been handled so far, i’m afraid it’s starting to lose its essence. imho we did not have to have such a large scale event if it meant putting the artists’ and attendees’ physical and emotional wellbeing at stake. and this is coming from someone who made profit from caf… but to me caf really isn’t all about that… i think for next year we have to ground ourselves again and think about what caf really is for, because for me, caf this year felt like more of a consumption and spending fest rather than a celebration of carat artists and seventeen :,)

These are my personal thoughts and experiences regarding how #CaratArtFest2026 was handled. I’m sharing this not to incite hate toward any individual, but to provide constructive criticism as someone who has participated in CAF since 2024 and genuinely cares about the artist community surrounding the event.

it was really cool seeing how much the artists from last yr have grown (wasn’t even able to buy from some artists bcz of how in demand they are now)! same with caf, the event, itself too! i’m so happy to see it getting bigger year by year. already looking forward to the next!

really got the full CAF experience this year. from completing the stamp rallies & being one of the first 200 to do so, participating in the bingo, and then winning the raffle! (❀´ ˘ `❀) #CaratArtFest2026
