Crypto disrupts business models that rely on float. I don't think it's well understood how many institutions profit from idle deposits and t+1 settlement. "Your" assets are getting lent out every day, generating billions in yield that you don't see. Crypto fixes this.

i spent almost the entire day introspecting about whether introspection is worth the cost.

Institutional. Bull. Market.

Like any debate, the truth lies between the lines. Many people would go a lot further by adding introspection into their operating system. Rather than making the same mistakes over and over again. Others would benefit from taking more action instead of always over-thinking.

It feels like we are in the late stages of Social Media adoption. As the networks grew, the incentives were to stay on the platform for new opportunities, new information, new connections. Now platforms cloud judgement, waste time, and rot your brain. The social media exodus will likely continue for those in the developed world - likely in isolated communities where both the cognitive and social benefits outweigh the opportunities missed.

Where is the best place to live in London?

As a British expat who left 2 years ago, it is difficult to not be conflicted about the future of the London. Culturally, it is very hard to innovate in the UK, since stepping an inch out of line comes with significant social stigma. For me pursuing crypto was extremely frowned upon by my peers who chose IB / PE, and HFT. Yet, the number of great opportunities within London seem to be growing rapidly, contrary to the significant deterioration of living standards.

Stablecoin rules in the UK are being finalized, and are at risk of preventing the UK from being globally competitive in the digital economy. For example, the Bank of England is proposing a cap on stablecoin holdings for individuals and businesses. The UK has a long history of being a financial hub. Embracing and encouraging innovation, especially when other countries are moving fast here, is important for maintaining that. The current direction of the rules does the opposite, and will act as an innovation blocker. @keenandotai @EffortCapital Both, I have not found a good wallet in the ecosystem. Transaction confirmation is clunky at the protocol level - both as a Web user and programmatically. The blockchain is simply very primitive.
