Police Officer Delivers Baby After Pulling Over Speeding Couple In Collier County, Florida, Deputy Robert Pounds pulled over a car speeding at 63 mph in a 45 mph zone on Airport-Pulling Road around 4:30a.m. The driver, Jean-Louis Wilfrid, explained his wife Fabienne Gorges was in labour and they were rushing to the hospital. As Pounds approached, he saw the baby crowning. He called for EMS and backup, grabbed gloves and a blanket, and calmly helped deliver a healthy baby girl right in the vehicle. The newborn cried strongly, and both mother and baby were doing well when EMS arrived to transport them.

Teen Hero Saves 3 Girls and Officer In Moss Point, Mississippi, 16-year-old Corion Evans from Pascagoula jumped into the Pascagoula River after a car with three teenage girls plunged in at the I-10 boat launch, misled by GPS. Evans and his friend swam out, pulled the panicked girls from the sinking car to safety. When responding police officer Gary Mercer got into trouble in the water, Evans turned back and rescued him too. “I was just like, ‘I can’t let none of these folks die,’” Evans said. All four survived.
