@Woody_Grandpa @WyffelsHybrids Honestly don’t remember in these pics. Could be any of about 90% of several hundred hybrids we were testing in the area. Only a handful of hybrids show resistance anywhere close to this.

I like to nickname hybrids. After a week in southern Iowa, I have christened @WyffelsHybrids W7945 “The Rust Buster”. My phone is full of pictures of side by sides like this. Top tier Southern Rust tolerance for sure!

@ParkerBaneSeed Agree, especially if diagnosed from the road. Can use the DOM test where there hasn’t been rain. Walk into the field and back out, if you look like the Dangerous Orange Man, it’s rust, otherwise it’s not😂

@kILtedbreeder Very difficult, in my opinion, to differentiate right now (in both corn and soybeans) what is disease related, weather related, and just the natural progression of this year’s crop.

Lot of southern rust talk and definitely a lot of fields severely impacted, but not every senescent field is due to rust. Just a theory here, but perhaps the 1/4 inch of rain in August, much of which was hot as well, has something to do with the crop conditions.

My daughter’s first @IlliniFootball game and she’s already crashed a @WyffelsHybrids tailgate and now her @RocketsCUSD3a classmate is the leading receiver going over 100 yd in the first half. Not a bad start to her college football experience!

Don’t get your hopes up when you see a @WyffelsHybrids truck by a soybean field, that’s just me killing waterhemp in next year’s nursery that the cover crop didn’t control.
