Yet, when these politicians speak, they act as if they are helpless bystanders, pretending they aren't the ones currently in power with the authority to control migration. The reality is simple, the migration crisis is a governance disaster manufactured by domestic political patronage. If your entire platform relies on policing a crisis created by your own failed border controls, you aren't solving the problem, you are exploiting it for votes.
