Захист прав та інтересів громадян України за кордоном завжди був і залишається пріоритетом МЗС. Водночас в умовах повномасштабної російської агресії головним пріоритетом є захист Батьківщини від знищення. Як це виглядає зараз: чоловік призовного віку виїхав за кордон, показав своїй державі, що питання її виживання його не обходить, а потім приходить і хоче отримати від цієї держави послуги. Так не працює. У нас в країні війна. Крім того, обовʼязок оновлювати свої документи в ТЦК існував і до ухвалення нового закону про мобілізацію. Якщо ці люди вважають, що хтось там, далеко на фронті, воює і віддає свої життя за цю державу, а хтось посидить за кордоном, але при цьому буде отримувати послуги від цієї держави, — то так це не працює.
