We took a walk to Spylaw Park and celebrated the Holly tree this week with our Redhall walkers. We learned about the history of Colinton Village and its many historical mills, before spotting the signs of a Holly leaf mining fly. Spylaw Park has many gorgeous trees.

We had a wonderful wintery health walk at Mortonhall Estate. We supported our group, some of which have sight loss, to explore the grounds and learn about the history of the Georgian House there. #healthwalks

We had a great day planting daffodils at Magdalene Glen with P4 & P4/5 pupils from Brunstane Primary school. It is part of the Pentland to Portobello Nature Restoration project where the park is going to look so beautiful this spring! @EdinOutdoors @NatureScot

The young people involved in our Upskilling project from have been working so hard over the last few weeks using cardboard and mulch on the #weeforest at Queen Margaret University. We hope that doing this will keep the weeds down and provide future nourishment to the trees.

We had a brilliant morning with Jo from the Holyrood Ranger learning centre. She shared loads of fascinating stories about the history of the park. We also had a bird tour of St Margaret's Pond, complete with binoculars and ID sheets!
